Nomination Letter

Important Notice to All Members
If you or someone you know is interested in serving SafeAmerica Credit Union as a member of the Board of Directors or Supervisory Committee, please read this notice carefully as nominations are being accepted through January 31, 2006.

THE NOMINATING COMMITTEE OF SAFEAMERICA CREDIT UNION IS PREPARING A SLATE OF CANDIDATES FOR THREE SEATS ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND ONE SEAT FOR THE SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE. The term of office for each available seat will be three years. Nominations are currently being accepted.

The Committee will interview members who are submitted for nomination and select the most qualified candidates. Nominees must be willing to serve and have time to devote to this voluntary job. Further, nominees must be committed to and able to attend monthly Board meetings, held on the last Tuesday of each month. They must also be able to devote the time required for committee assignments. Ideal candidates should be willing to attend credit union industry educational programs to enhance their knowledge and performance as a director or committee member.

To submit your name to the Nominating Committee for consideration you will need to complete and submit the Nominating Instructions and Agreement to Serve form at the bottom of this letter to the Nominating Committee. Mail the Nominating Instructions and Agreement to Serve to: Nominating Committee, SafeAmerica Credit Union, P.O. Box 11269, Pleasanton, CA. 94588-1269. MUST BE POSTMARKED NO LATER THAN JANUARY 31, 2006.

According to Article IV, Section 403 of the bylaws, the election will be conducted by mail ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor when there is only one nominee for each position to be filled.

By February 10, 2006, notification will be given of all the nominees recommended by the Nominating Committee. If the Nominating Committee does not select you as a Nominee, you have the right to be nominated by petition. Here’s how:

1.	At least 390 members must sign your petition subject to verification by the Supervisory Committee.
2.	Nominees by petition must submit a certification that they agree to the nomination and will serve if elected.
3.	Petitions for nominees must be submitted to: Nominating Committee Chairperson, SafeAmerica Credit Union, 6001 Gibraltar Drive, Pleasanton, CA 94588, before February 20, 2006.

The following information for each petitioner-member must be shown on each petition:

1.	Signature of petitioner-member
2.	Social Security Number
3.	Home address and telephone number
4.	Biographical sketch – no larger than 8.5” x 11”, single side.

The Board Secretary will post the names of all nominees in the Credit Union on or before February 22, 2006. ALL CONDITIONS NOTED ABOVE MUST BE MET.

Nominating Instructions
The Nominating Committee is accepting recommendations through January 31, 2006 for nominating candidates for the Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee members. Three Board seats and one Supervisory Committee seat will be filled with this election. The term for each of the seats will be three years. PRIOR to recommending any member for nomination, be sure that he/she is willing to serve, has time to devote to this volunteer job and is prepared to meet the guidelines set forth in this letter. To be interviewed by the Nominating Committee, the following requirements must be met:

1.	Each recommendation must be accompanied by a biographical statement of his/her qualifications (maximum 8-1/2 x 11 one-sided page).
2.	The nominees' Agreement to Serve form must be signed and dated, agreeing to serve if elected and to carry out the responsibilities per prescribed regulations and laws.
3.	Each applicant must complete an application and be interviewed by the Nominating Committee.

If you have a recommendation for these positions, please complete the form below and mail with the biographical statement to the Nominating Committee by January 31, 2006.
